Go paperless when you are ready
The same checklist, on your phone
Paper forms get lost, get greasy and can’t hold a photo. The ASW DVI app runs the same kind of checklist on a phone, with photos on every item.
- Tap OK, Attention or Immediate
- Photos and notes on any item
- Saved against the vehicle
Reports
Email the report instead of handing over paper
When the inspection is done, the customer gets a PDF report with your findings and photos — no scanning or retyping.

Questions
Is the vehicle inspection checklist really free?
Yes. Download the PDF, print as many copies as you like and use it in your shop. No sign-up and no email address needed.
What does the checklist cover?
Underhood (fluids, battery, belts, hoses, filters), interior and exterior (lights, wipers, glass, seat belts, warning lights, A/C), under vehicle (exhaust, steering, suspension, leaks, frame), brakes and tires for each wheel, and a road test.
What do OK, Attention and Immediate mean?
OK — checked and fine. Attention — wearing, plan the repair soon. Immediate — needs repair now, for safety or to prevent damage. N/A — not on this vehicle or not checked.
Can I add my shop name or my own items?
The PDF has a space for your shop name at the top. To build checklists with your own items, use the ASW DVI app — templates are fully yours.
Is there a digital version?
Yes. ASW DVI runs inspection checklists on iPhone, Android and the web, with photos and an emailed PDF report. Free for 10 days, then $100 CAD/month.
